Artist Statement:
Creativity is deep in my soul. A lifetime has been spent in the pursuit of the natural beauty that surrounds us. An artist eye with the help of brush, pencil, paint, or pen has recorded this beauty in a moment frozen in time. Be it early morning light, the gentle ripple of reflections on the water or deep cast shadows, I endeaver to record these images as I see them.
A realist at heart I try to bring a unique perspective or view that intrigues me to my compositions, one that
perhaps may have been unobserved. As I progress I am working to acheive a more "painterly" look to my paintings with looser rendering of my subjects. Having been classically trained in the manner of the Old Masters this is truly a challenge.
My current home is in rural Central Pennsylvania outside of Gettysburg. With lovely countrysides, historic buidings and architecture I could paint endlessly! You will find a selection of these En Plein Air works here soon.
